Track
- One of two NHRA national event tracks to have an all-concrete race surface and 350-foot beyond the finish line.
- Track resurfacing was completed in April 2008, and included more than 47,000 sq. ft. of new concrete to the racing surface and asphalt in the shut down area, and has been continually updated since to provide a world class track surface.
- A Musco lighting system was installed in May 2008 and has been upgraded to include lighting on both sides of the track to provide one of the best lit tracks in the country.
- Bandimere Speedway and Compulink Timing System’s Bob Brockmeyer worked in conjunction to develop and continue to set the standard for drag racing timing systems as the track features an all fiber-optic systems.
- Features a proprietary ‘Track Cooling System’ that is unique to drag racing. The cooling system lies in the concrete launch pad and circulates chilled water from a pair of 12,000 gallon underground tanks through more than 15,000 foot of lines. The cooled area is 345 feet long – 40 feet behind the starting line to 305 feet past the start with two phases to allow for gradient cooling. Surface reading show temperature reductions between 20-25 degrees.
- Track equipment includes a proprietary tire rotator tractor, the same used by NHRA, a pair of 72 inch track scrubbers, TYMCO sweeper, and custom spray rig, which is also used by NHRA, IHRA, and NASCAR.
- Partners with St. Anthony Hospital and West Metro Fire Authority to maintain a fully equipped ambulance on site. Safety trucks include multiple fire suppression systems, including gaseous, dry chemical, and foam, and carry state-of-the-art Holmatro Rescue Tools.
- All-concrete racing surface. One of three NHRA national event tracks to have an all-concrete surface.

Track temperature probes in the concrete, as well as surface reading show temperature reductions between 10-25 degrees.
- New 60” Trans-Lux LED Scoreboards were added in May, 2009.
- Bandimere Speedway track equipment includes the first track prep ‘tire rotator’ drag built, a 72” track scrubber, TYMCO sweeper, and custom spray rig.
- Bandimere speedway partners with St. Anthony Hospitals and West Metro Fire Authority to maintain a fully equipment ambulance on site. Safety trucks include multiple fire suppression systems, including gaseous, dry chemical, and foam, and carry a Hurst Jaws-Of-Life.
Facility
- The track can seat 28,500 spectators.
- The Top Eliminator Club provides one of the best views in all of drag racing. The pavilion tent is 43 x 150 feet, and features 752 angled premium seats.
- The VIP Tower has 4 floors, and features 13 corporate suites (variety of sizes, seating 25-75 spectators), a pair of Media Center suites, control room and catering area.
- Close to 50 acres of asphalt in pit area and staging lanes.
- The track operates an on-site Fuel Store that carries simple parts for the racers and is one of the largest track suppliers of Sunoco Race Fuels with 13 choices of fuel.
- Bandimere also has its own in-house concessions and catering company.
NHRA NATIONAL EVENT
- The Mile-High NHRA Nationals is one of 24 events on the NHRA schedule.
- The event features more than 119,000 spectators over the course of the three-day event and hosts night qualifying on both Friday and Saturday.
- In 2016 and 2017, the event was broadcast live on Fox TV and scored a 0.6 final rating and 902,000 viewers on FOX Sunday afternoon, up 50% in ratings and 74% from 2015 viewership and garnered 868,000 viewers in 2017.
OTHER
- Bandimere Speedway is host to one of the largest youth programs in the country.
- Each Wednesday night, backed by the Colorado State Patrol, Bandimere opens to grudge runs, and features 225-plus cars weekly.
- Bandimere Speedway crowns champions in 28 different classes, as well as hosts unique events for Street Tuner, Mopar, Ford, Chevy, VW, and Truck enthusiasts.
- The track is also home to the “Race To Read” program aimed at elementary-aged youth and developing reading habits. Nitro Knockouts, which boasts more than 500 members, goal is to provide support, encouragement, and activities to female racers, fans, and staff.
- The track also is home to Action Karting and MasterDrive. Each is a private business that operates within the Bandimere footprint. Action Karting is a go-kart track for rentals, race events, and private events, while MasterDrive is a driving school aimed at first-time drivers and corporate driving classes.
