The largest all-street car event of its kind will occur this Sunday, May 5 at Bandimere Speedway to kick off the 55th anniversary season on “Thunder Mountain”.
The event is open to anyone with a street-legal vehicle wishing to take their “need for speed” to the track. All vehicles must have DOT approved street tires and pass an NHRA tech inspection. It is only $35 to race.
Participants may race in Street Eliminator, Street Bike Eliminator, Street Sport Compact Eliminator, or Grudge Only. In addition to these classes, the Sunoco King Street Series and Fastlane Automotive Stick Shift Series will be contested. Sunoco King Street is open to street-legal vehicles running 12.75 seconds and quicker. Fastlane Automotive Stick Shift features vehicles with manual-style transmissions, launching with a clutch pedal. Additional class rules apply to these categories.
